New Videos! Greater Victoria's Three Migratory Bird Sanctuaries

Writer: Rick SearleRick Searle

We're very excited to share with you three short videos that introduce you to the federal migratory bird sanctuaries found within the Greater Victoria region and to what needs to be done to better protect them. Let us know what you think of them. All constructive feedback is welcomed, encouraged even. :-)

Hi Ramona,

I just took a look at cutting out some of the black frames between the videos and discovered that the best I could do was to shave off a second or two.

Hey, thanks for this great feedback!

Each video commences with an animated map showing all three MBSs within the region before it zooms in on a specific sanctuary. We felt that this would be enough of an introduction.

We intend on doing some filming in the spring to catch more migratory birds as they move through the region.

On your last point, we really wanted to keep these videos brief (1 - 1.5 mins) to increase the likelihood of them being watched. The Victoria Harbour MBS video already runs slightly.
